The Symposium objectives are presenting the most significant achievements in the development and practical application of computational methods in discovery and validation of new drug targets, in silico design of more efficient and safer pharmaceutical substances, optimization of their structures and properties, rational utilization of therapeutics in medical practice, as well as discussing the current trends in this multidisciplinary field.
We hope that this event serves as a catalyst to foster information exchange and collaboration , as well as providing opportunities for industry professionals to stay updated on current research. Your participation is crucial to the success of the symposium. Registration and participation is free.
XXXI Symposium on Bioinformatics and Computer-Aided Drug Discovery will be held online on October 20-22, 2025. The number of participants is limited to 420 due to the technical constraints.
XXXI Symposium on Bioinformatics and Computer-Aided Drug Discovery continues traditions of the Symposia started in 1995 at the initiative of the Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Archakov. Alexander Archakov and Vladimir Poroikov co-chaired the first one, held in the framework of the Second Russian National Congress “Man and Drugs” (Moscow, 12-15 April 1995). The subsequent Symposia were being organized annually by the Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikolai Zefirov and Professor Vladimir Poroikov. Since 2018 Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Poroikov and Professor Roman Efremov are the Symposium’s Co-Chairs.
Starting from 2021, because of the COVID-2019 pandemic, the Symposiums on Bioinformatics and Computer-Aided Drug Discovery were held online using the cloud video conferencing platform. Programs, presentations, videos, and other materials of a previous Symposiums are available on the 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 Symposium’s websites.
Considering the urgent need for international cooperation to overcome the emerging challenges, we continue to hold the Symposium as an International event, where all lectures, oral talks, and brief communications will be presented in English.
To extend the possibilities of communication and discussions, the poster session will be held in the framework of the Symposium.
Posters of young scientists will be evaluated by the International Scientific Committee. Twelve young scientists will be selected for flash presentations at the Young Scientists’ Contest, and Diplomas will award the winners.
The Symposia on Bioinformatics and Computer-Aided Drug Discovery are arranged by scientists for scientists; neither commercial entity is involved in preparing the meeting nor registration fee is requested.
We look forward to seeing you at the XXXI Symposium on Bioinformatics and Computer-Aided Drug Discovery!
